Daisuke OK in rehab start

While Red Sox Nation watched the rain fall in the Bronx, a perhaps more important story was underway in Pawtucket. Because let’s face it – Boston needs a healthy Daisuke Matsuzaka.
Dice-K looked pretty sharp in a rehab appearance in Pawtucket tonight. He pitched 2 2/3 innings, allowing no runs, on two hits, and struck out five. It wasn’t perfect – he walked two and hit a batter – but Daisuke said afterwards that he felt good, and acknowledged he was even holding back a little.
He’s expected to get another rehab start before coming back to Boston. Thanks to former NECN-er and generally all-around rockin’ friend Kristen Revell for the pictures.
