Harper could have helped himself with a breakout season in a weak ACC, but didn’t. And there might be a behind-the-scenes reason for that.

Problems with (former) Clemson head coach Tommy Bowden in his final season were well documented. The blame has been put on Bowden, by most. So Harper could be seen as a great teammate and leader for trying to whether the personal attacks made by the (former) head coach.

He has the height and arm strength for which scouts look. Put Harper in a stable situation and he may just shine.
