Brian Orakpo, DE/OLB Texas

Posted by Adam Hart April 5, 2009 at 11:18 pm

Brian Orakpo: 6′3 3′8, 263 lbs

Brian Orakpo was recognized as college football’s best defensive player, yet is projected by some experts to land in a different position in the NFL. After garnering 10.5 sacks at Texas, Orakpo may move from defensive end to outside linebacker in a 3-4 base defensive scheme in the NFL.

Orakpo possesses good burst off the line of scrimmage and has great strength. Oh, and confidence that he can play either position in the NFL. That link has video of Orakpo at Pro Day. Some lady with eyebrows reports on the whole situation.

He will be a better pass rusher than Aaron Maybin, who is also the talk of the Draft.
