Brandon Pettigrew, TE Oklahoma State

Posted by Adam Hart April 6, 2009 at 4:43 pm

Brandon Pettigrew: 6′5 3/8, 263 lbs

Pettigrew missed four games his Senior season with an ankle injury.

He is considered to be an excellent blocker with good hands, enabling him to make some spectacular catches. But his lack of top-end speed will limit the type of routes he can run effectively. For example, it is doubtful that Pettigrew will be asked to run many streak patterns up the heart of the field. That is, unless his quarterback enjoys getting buried into the ground.

Pettigrew could be compared to Denver Broncos tight end Daniel Graham. He tends to play with an attitude, unwilling to accept a defender giving him the business.

Opening line in this video is in reference to Mike Gundy’s rant from the 2007 season. Please, resist the urge to call someone “fat” today. Thank you.
