Welcome, Lester Hudson

With its only selection (58) in the 2009 NBA Draft, the Boston Celtics took Lester Hudson — a scoring machine out of Tennessee Martin.
One thing is for certain, Hudson can get it going offensively. He averaged 27.5 PPG, 7.9 RPG and 4.2 APG and shot 44.9 percent from the field as a senior:
Look for the Celtics to focus Hudon’s talents to a certain guard position, easing his transition to the NBA. If he makes the team, of course.
Hudson likens his “combo guard” style to that of LeBron James and Dwayne Wade, but that was at the collegiate level:
There was much hype that the C’s would take Brookline native and UConn player Jeff Adrien at No. 58. He wasn’t selected at all. The Lawrence-Eagle Tribune quotes Celtics GM Danny Ainge as saying this about the undrafted free agent:
“We do like Jeff, but I don’t know yet.” Ainge said. “I’ve got to be careful of what I say.”
Take this for what it’s worth, via @Adrien4:
I said no to Boston cuz they wanted me over seas for a couple not going out like that.
That’s mighty bold, assuming that this is the real Twitter feed of former Adrien. This Twitter feed also said that Adrien would be traveling to Cleveland on Saturday.
